Families are advised to book refundable airfare and lodging to maintain flexibility while roster decisions are finalized. SFBBA has secured a suggested parent hotel for families who wish to stay together; however, parents are free to stay at any hotel or location of their choosing.
This trip also provides an opportunity for parent fellowship and camaraderie as we begin the 2026 season.

No. Athletes and coaching staff stay separately to support team bonding, leadership development, and program culture. Parental interaction is intentionally limited.
Generally, no. The Spring Training Trip follows a coach-directed itinerary that includes games, practices, baseball activities, and team bonding. Keeping the team together is critical to the purpose of the trip.
No. Parent attendance is optional. Players are supervised by the South Fayette coaching staff for the entire duration of the trip. A school-approved itinerary will be distributed once rosters are finalized.
Each team (JV and Varsity) typically plays four games total, usually one game per day following the arrival practice day.
Yes. Advance payment is required to secure the lowest possible pricing.
The total current cost per athlete is $1,783. Based on fundraising completed to date, SFBBA has already offset $333 per athlete, resulting in a current player contribution of $1,450, due February 1, 2026.
If an athlete is not selected for the JV or Varsity roster or cannot attend, 100% of funds paid to SFBBA will be reimbursed.
Yes. Teams stay together. Room assignments are handled by the coaching staff, typically four (4) athletes per room.

Parents should plan to rent a car.
Players rally at South Fayette High School and travel together as a team. Expect early-morning departures. Baseball equipment logistics are handled separately due to airline restrictions.
No. The team practices on the arrival day. Games begin the following day.
A significant portion of the Spring Training Trip is covered through fundraising.
Fundraising dollars are applied to the overall cost of the Spring Training Trip as well as season-long operational expenses, helping offset rising costs such as airfare, lodging, transportation, and facilities.
Bottom line: The more successful our fundraising efforts, the lower the out-of-pocket cost for families.
If cleared to travel, injured athletes still participate in team activities and meetings. If medically unable to travel, reimbursement will be based on recoverable costs.
Team meals are scheduled and included. Some meals during travel days or downtime may be on-your-own. Details will be communicated in advance.
The Spring Training Trip is a school-sanctioned event. All athletes must follow South Fayette School District policies, team rules, and coaching staff expectations at all times.
Parents will receive a full itinerary before departure and ongoing updates through the team’s designated communication platform.
